In 2015, my breakfast and lunch restaurant was struggling. We loved our small tourist town, but the winter months were a challenge to keep our staff employed. One morning, after a short discussion with my wife about pizza, I said, "I'm going to start laying the brick for that oven." Now, a decade later, I've created two custom ovens, dough and sauce recipes, and numerous flavor combinations. I look back and thank God that He gave me the ability and inspiration for that first oven.

The journey hasn’t been easy. But here we are… excited to share our passion for food and family with others who understand the value of time together or who want to embrace it.

We truly believe that our pizza is some of the best! But the greatest blessing that has come out of creating pizza is the gatherings it has cultivated. We have enjoyed hosting hundreds of people in our home. The hospitality industry molded us and inspired us to create simple but delicious spreads with pizza as the focus… and it has garnered us a reputation for “the best pizza.” (Not our words- though we do agree)

TeachMePizza.com is the product of passion and purpose. Our family has adopted a “Friday Pizza Night” which we keep as a weekly event on our calendar. Our whole family gets excited to make pizza, watch a movie, and enjoy a special dessert. After several conversations with people, I’ve learned that this is something a lot of families are interested in doing… but they don’t know how to get them up and running.

I want to instill an urgency that family night and social gatherings in your home are important, and the time is now! Our oldest is going to be out of the house soon and the memories we have together will be the ones we made… intentionally. Don’t wait until you have a bigger house, a newer couch, or a perfect recipe.
